Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line your cake tin.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream the butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Step 4
Add the eggs and vanilla, and whisk to combine.
Step 5
Stir in the mashed bananas, then mix in the milk until well blended.
Step 6
Fold in the dry ingredients gently until just combined - avoid overmixing.
Step 7
Pour the batter into the prepared tin. Tap the tin gently to remove any air pockets.
Step 8
Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 9
Allow to cool in the tin for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
